It’s been a while since my last post, and a bit since any of the mineth.net crew posted. This has mostly been due to being too busy in our personal lives and having different activities at the moment. I’m still busy studying to become a teacher and my internship has been eating pretty much all my time.
I’m still working on things at the moment though. Crash Viper has been put on hold due to some issues in the base design wich need resolving before i can continue on it. in the mean time i’ve started a new project.
Hexa-Frame Zero, a adapatation of the Mobile Frame Zero ruleset for play-by-post thread on the internet. I’m essentially rebuilding the ruleset from the base and it probably won’t resemble MFZ when it’s finally done. here’s some of the things i’m currently contemplating to include in the new ruleset
-Hex based movement and combat ranges.
-Upgrading frames as the campaign progresses and different types of weapon systems(singlefire, twinlinked, heavy)
-Reworking the damage system slightly to make it better suited to PbP.
-Campaign rules and settings.
Once it’s done i intend to run a test game on a forum i’m currently a member of to see how well it works and if there are any tweaks i need to make to the ruleset. as well as releasing it here on mineth for feedback and playtesting by other people.
If you’re interested in the development of hexa-frame zero you can either comment here or contact me on twitter @azmilon.
I’ll keep posting here with progress reports but for now there isn’t much to show you just yet.
